How it works at UHD

facemash at UHD is open to students at the University of Houston-Downtown in Houston, TX, who are 18 or older. Log in with your @gator.uhd.edu email address: we email you a one-time code, so there’s no password. Then upload a selfie of yourself and tick the box agreeing to be shown and ranked. Nobody is on facemash unless they did that themselves.

Only people who log in with an email address from the University of Houston-Downtown see your photo and the UHD rankings. People at other schools can’t. You see two photos from UHD at a time and click the one you think is hotter. After 10 matchups you’re ranked, and each list stays hidden until at least 10 people are on it. You can also verify yourself with a live selfie to get a ✓. You can delete your account and photo at any time from your profile page.

Questions about facemash at UHD

Which email do I use at UHD?
UHD students use GatorMail @gator.uhd.edu; @uhd.edu is for employees. Not the same as UH's @cougarnet.uh.edu. Addresses ending in @uhd.edu aren’t accepted. Leave out any “+” part (like you+fm@…).
Can I use a personal email?
No. facemash only accepts the University of Houston-Downtown addresses, so everyone who can see you (apart from site admins reviewing reports) logged in with one too.
Is facemash part of the University of Houston-Downtown?
No. facemash is independent. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the University of Houston-Downtown or any other school. The school’s name is only used to say who can join.
