How it works at OU

facemash at OU is open to students at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK, who are 18 or older. Log in with your @ou.edu email address: we email you a one-time code, so there’s no password. Then upload a selfie of yourself and tick the box agreeing to be shown and ranked. Nobody is on facemash unless they did that themselves.

Only people who log in with an email address from the University of Oklahoma see your photo and the OU rankings. People at other schools can’t. You see two photos from OU at a time and click the one you think is hotter. After 10 matchups you’re ranked, and each list stays hidden until at least 10 people are on it. You can delete your account and photo at any time from your profile page.

Questions about facemash at OU

Which email do I use at OU?
Use your @ou.edu address (it is also used by employees). OU Health Sciences Center is a separate campus. Leave out any “+” part (like you+fm@…).
Can I use a personal email?
No. facemash only accepts the University of Oklahoma addresses, so everyone who can see you (apart from site admins reviewing reports) logged in with one too.
Is facemash part of the University of Oklahoma?
No. facemash is independent. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the University of Oklahoma or any other school. The school’s name is only used to say who can join.
